What is Open Rehearsal?
We separate our E-Town Augmented singing season into two cycles. At the beginning of each cycle, we host an Open Rehearsal. Open Rehearsals are a low-pressure way for new members to come check out the choir.
Open Rehearsal runs the same as a normal rehearsal. We start with a warm-up, where we stretch our bodies, practice breathing exercises, and sing both high and low notes so that our vocal folds are warm and ready to sing.
After warming up, we sing! E-Town Augmented welcomes all skill levels and does not require our members to audition! Some of our members are working on learning to read sheet music, while others arrange music for the choir to sing. At Open Rehearsal, new members will get a chance to check out the repertoire for the upcoming singing cycle and meet other choir members and staff without any obligation to join.
If new members have a great time and do want to join, there is a digital registration link for members to sign up. Our fees for the 2023-2024 Season are $180 per cycle, $360 for the entire season (two cycles). Members that pay for the entire season in the first cycle will get an early bird rate of $340.
Open rehearsals generally occur in September and late January/early February, with dates and information posted in advance on this website and our social media accounts.
